This Peach Cold Brew Iced Tea is seriously the most refreshing drink. Black tea is steeped in cold water overnight with fresh peaches, mint, and lemon for a truly delicious iced tea!

This peach tea is part of my new Summer Sips series, where I am sharing some of my favorite refreshing drinks to enjoy this summer! So far, we've made Watermelon Margarita Mocktails, Strawberry Watermelon Smoothies, Cucumber Honeydew Agua Fresca, and now this refreshing iced tea!
Ingredients:

Ingredient & substitution notes:
- Peaches: Must be fresh and ripe/soft for the best flavor!
- Black Tea: For this recipe, I used TeaPigs English Breakfast Tea, which I love!
- Any black tea works, or you can even substitute with Earl Grey Tea.
- You can also use Green Tea, but you will want to reduce the steeping time to about 4-6 hours. This is because green tea is unoxidized and develops a bitter taste faster.
- Mint: Gives a nice fresh flavor to this tea!
- Substitute 1:1 with any fresh herb such as basil, thyme, or rosemary.
- Make sure not to muddle the mint as it can release bitter flavors if crushed!
- Lemon: Gives a nice tang to this tea!
- Substitute 1:1 with other citrus, like limes or oranges- but know that will change the final taste of the tea!
- Agave: This is totally optional, but it gives the tea a slightly sweeter flavor.
- Substitute honey or maple syrup for similar results!
- Add more for a sweeter tea. It will not change the other ratios in the recipe!
How to make peach cold brew tea
Slice peaches & lemon
Start by thoroughly washing your peaches and lemon since we are adding them into the tea with the outer skin/rind intact! For the best results, I recommend using a spray like CleanBoss and then thoroughly rinsing after.
Then, slice the peaches into chunks and thinly slice the lemon.
Add all ingredients to a glass jar
First, add the peaches and use a muddler to lightly crush them so they release their juices. This ultimately gives your tea a more natural peach flavor!
Then, add in the sliced lemon, black tea leaves, mint leaves, and the optional agave. Pour the water into the glass and gently mix together.

Steep 10-24 hours
Cover the jar of tea and then store it in the fridge for 10-24 hours to steep. The tea will go from a very clear color to a dark orange/yellow color over time.
P.S.: Here is the 51 ounce tea pot I use to cold brew my tea. It has a filter built in, so it's SO easy to strain!

Strain & serve
When the tea is ready, strain out all the mix-ins and pour it into a glass container (I used one from Ikea, but any jar works!). Enjoy immediately or serve in a glass with slices of fresh peach and a sprig of mint on top!

How do I store cold brew tea?
Cold brew tea must be stored in a tightly sealed container in the fridge, where it can last for about 2-3 days.
After that, there is a risk of bacteria developing as we are using fresh fruit.

I can't wait for you to try this easy & refreshing Peach Cold Brew Tea! It's perfect for a hot summer day, and could even make a great addition to a fun cocktail or mocktail. Enjoy!
