Ingredients

Cherry Syrup:

  • 1 ½ cups fresh cherries ,pits removed
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ¾ cup water

Cherry Limeade:

  • 1 cup cherry syrup * made above
  • 2 Tablespoons lime juice
  • 24 ounces sparkling water
  • ice to serve

Instructions

Make the cherry syrup:

  • Start by removing the pits from your cherries.
  • Add the fresh cherries, sugar, and water to a saucepan and turn the heat to medium.
  • Stir together until the sugar dissolves. Then, use a fork or potato masher to crush the cherries and help them release their juices.
  • Continue cooking & stirring at a low simmer for about 5 minutes until the cherry syrup starts to thicken.
  • Remove the syrup from the heat and use a fine mesh strainer to strain out the chunks of cherries.
  • Let the syrup cool completely before using.

Make the cherry limeade:

  • To make a cherry limeade, fill the glass up with ice. Then, add in 3-4 Tablespoons of the cherry syrup depending on how sweet you want the drink to be.
  • Add in ½ Tablespoon of lime juice. Then, top with about 5-6 ounces of soda water.
  • Stir together, then enjoy while cold!
